Nicholas Martin

A graduate of Quinnipiac University, I am currently employed in the United States Senate as the Digital Director for Senator George Helmy.


I previously held the title of Digital Director and Senior Communications Advisor for former Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Menendez. I also help the position Digital Strategist position for Senator Catherine Cortez Masto. I managed her social media pages, drafted and scheduled posts, designed graphics, and helped direct digital messaging for the office.


I also have extensive experience in the U.S. House of Representatives. I worked in the office of Majority Leader Steny Hoyer as a Digital Fellow and held two internship positions for both Washington D.C. (Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi) and district offices (Congressman Andy Kim).


I have experience drafting press releases, talking points, interview prep, op-eds, and a variety of research memos. I've also crafted a state senate campaign’s messaging, social media rollouts, and overall communication strategy with $20,000 in ad buys behind the produced content


I have a portfolio of graphics, videos, articles, and news packages including a publication from the Wall Street Journal. I have had experience editing and producing content for over seven years; including work for political campaign media proposals and vaccine education efforts. My content includes HD renderings, social media posts, advertisements, QR codes, and videos.

Senator George Helmy

Digital Director  - I developed and executed comprehensive digital strategies to enhance public engagement and support for George Helmy’s initiatives. Oversaw multi-platform social media campaigns, driving follower growth and increasing engagement metrics, producing compelling digital content, including graphics, videos, and written materials, aligning with George Helmy’s brand and messaging objectives. oordinated with cross-functional teams, including press and policy staff, to ensure cohesive messaging across all digital channels. Created and updated the official website, improving user experience and accessibility.

Senator Bob Menendez

Digital Director  - I drafted daily social media posts, designed graphics, recorded videos, drafted and formatted newsletters, and produced additional web content for Senator Bob Menendez's social media pages. I also created all materials for events such as the Women's History Month Celebration with Hillary Clinton as keynote speaker.

Senator Catherine Cortez Masto

Digital Strategist  - I created and captured video content and other compelling visual content including infographics and other shareable visuals; coordinated the development of and drafting high-visibility, high-quality, and innovative content for social media, email, website, and other platforms; analyzed online performance for future optimization; and other research and other projects as needed.

Majority Leader Steny Hoyer

Digital Media Fellow  - I crafted social media posts, designed graphics, GIFs and web content for Majority Leader Hoyer’s social media pages as well as for House Democrats. Helped with data input and constructed the ‘Dome Directory’ app that details Congress members, their committees and caucuses. Livestreamed press conferences and created graphics and logos for the Make It In America legislative agenda.

Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi 

Congressional Press Intern  - I drafted tweets, Instagram posts, and managed social media account growth. Assembled COVID-19 vaccination and case data, press clips, and relevant headlines daily. Recorded/edited hearing clips and helped craft press releases, talking points, interview prep, and op-ed research.

Congressman Andy Kim

Congressional Intern  - I handled constituent correspondence, official mail, wrote memos, recorded community input on legislation, handled special projects, planned events, and resolved casework. I coordinated community funding requests in conjunction with the U.S. Senate office of Cory Booker and performed a variety of administrative tasks.

Mammano for NJ Senate

Digital Media Director  - I generated high-quality graphics, gifs, and short videos with digital advertising as an important part of the overall campaign strategy for the 2021 election cycle. Media produced had $20,000 in funds, promoting it across print and digital platforms.

Progressive Turnout Project

Voter Turnout  Fellow  - I phone-banked, text-banked, and canvased to boost volunteer numbers and the voter contact program supporting democratic candidates Garrit Kono and Mary Quilter for NJ Assembly for the 2021 election cycle. Final two weeks text banked over 5,000 voters and text banked over 25,000.

Published Opinion Contributor  - Published my article regarding the most dangerous flash-points in American Foreign Policy. It detailed the dangers of Iran's nuclear advances following the Trump Administration’s decision to leave the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action in May of 2018.

Telephone Interviewer - Conducted opinion polls on approval ratings, electoral candidates, and topics in the news.

Herring Media Group

Media content creator - I produced 2020 election campaign proposals in both chambers of Congress. Vaccine testing and vaccination education media proposed for proposals to both Connecticut and Rhode Island Governor's office, Lincoln Project founders, The Bush Center, President Biden's Chief of Staff, and dozens of congressional campaigns.

WQAQ Radio

WQAQ Sports Radio Personality - I was a radio host totaling 1,500 listeners per show. Covered both collegiate and professional sports in-depth and in real-time, as well as the cultural and societal issues that correspond with the athlete’s use of their platforms. Also coordinated interviews, musical intros, and rigorous debate topics.
